Mahindra has hiked the price of the Mojo by Rs 8,000. The motorcycle now costs Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).
The Mojo was initially launched with an aggressive introductory price of Rs 1.58 lakh, though there have been four price revisions since then. 14 months down the line, the Mojo is now Rs 15,000 pricier than before which seems reasonable taking into acount the inflation during this period. The price hike also accounts for the one per cent increase in taxes for high capacity motorcycles.
The Mojo is powered by a BS IV-compliant single-cylinder mill, delivering 27bhp and 30Nm of torque. It rides on upside down forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. The 17-inch black alloys are shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres. The braking duties are performed by 320mm petal disc brake at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear.
Since its launch, the company has introduced a few updates like new paint schemes and touring-oriented accessories for the Mojo. We can expect it to be launched with ABS in 2017 along with two more variants.
