The Mahindra Mojo has been spied testing at Chinchwad near Pune. This is close to where Mahindra Two Wheelers has its R&D center. This is the third time that the Mojo has been spotted testing.
The motorcycle was first unveiled in 2010 but at that time the company had announced any launch date. It has been continuously working on the bike to tweak and improve it as it will be the first premium motorcycle in company’s portfolio.
The Mojo is powered by a 292cc single cylinder mill which produces 27bhp of power at 8500 rpm and 24Nm of torque at 7000rpm.The engine in mated to a six-speed gearbox and the motorcycle has a tank capacity of 15.5 litres. When it comes to design, the Mojo 300 has a retro look making it stand out among the rest of the premium motorcycles currently available in India.
Once launched, Mahindra Mojo will have to compete with soon to be launched Suzuki Inazuma 250 and KTM Duke 390. These are the expected to be the major launches of the two-wheeler industry this year and a lot of enthusiasts are waiting for these vehicles to hit the Indian roads. Pricing will be the most important and the deciding factor for all these motorcycles.
