Mahindra two-wheelers seem to be finally preparing themselves to launch their highly-anticipated Mojo motorcycle in India. The production version of the 300cc motorcycle was spied testing in Lavasa as part of its final test indicating that the motorcycle might be launched in a couple of months.
The company brought the production version of the motorcycle to the Auto Expo in 2014. The bike gets the same features albeit with some modifications. Compared to the specifications shown earlier, the fuel tank has been raised a bit and so is the rear seat. This will give the rider a bucketed feel and a more upright yet comfortable position.
The Mojo sports a raised handlebar with bar-end weights and the other features include buffed alloy levers, new knee recesses, sporty radiator shrouds and engine cowl. The front USD forks look meaty and the bike also gets a high-mounted LED tail lamp. The highlight is the LED daytime-running lights and the dual exhausts which enhance the appeal of the bike.
The Mahindra Mojo is powered by a 295cc four-stroke liquid-cooled single-cylinder mill that churns out 27bhp of power and 25Nm of torque. This motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. Braking power comes from the petal disc in the front and rear disc brake. The bike is equipped with Pirelli tyres which is expected to continue on the production version.
The Mojo has been spied on test several times all over the country. The bike has been taken to various locations in India including the rough terrains of Ladakh. The two-wheeler lovers who are waiting to swing their legs over this big-capacity motorcycle from Mahindra are surely going to be in for a surprise knowing the amount of comprehensive tests the bike has been put to. Well, about the final product, you will soon get to know with its arrival in the coming months, so stay tuned to BikeWale!
