-Likely to get a dual-channel ABS
-Expected to be launched in the coming weeks with a hike in price
-No other cosmetic and mechanical changes
The Mahindra Mojo has been long-due to receive an ABS upgrade and was finally spied with the safety feature suggesting that it will be launched soon.
The Mojo is available in two variants; XT300 and UT300. The XT300 differentiates itself from the latter with the inverted front forks, dual canister exhausts and fuel-injected engine along with Pirelli tyres. However, Mahindra will equip both motorcycles with a dual-channel ABS. Prices of the motorcycles are expected to increase by Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000.
Apart from this, the Mojo XT and UT300 are expected to remain the same. Powering the motorcycles is a 295cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, however with varying power outputs. The Mojo UT300’s carburetted engine produces 22.5bhp and 25.2Nm of torque. Meanwhile the Mojo XT300’s fuel-injected motor generates a higher 26.4bhp of power and 30Nm of torque. Both units are mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The Mojo XT300 and Mojo UT300 compete against the likes of the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400, Royal Enfield Thunderbird and the Thunderbird X in the country.
