Mahindra’s upcoming 300cc naked, the Mojo, has been photographed undergoing trials at the Kari Speedway in Coimbatore. The Mojo had garnered a lot of interest among the biking community when it was first unveiled back at the 2010 Delhi Auto Expo, though Mahindra seems to be taking its own sweet time in developing this motorcycle.
The photographs show the completely undisguised motorcycle in its full glory, and by the looks of it, it seems to be very close to production form. It will be powered by a four-stroke 295cc single-cylinder engine which is expected to churn out 27bhp and 25Nm of torque. The liquid-cooled unit gets electronic fuel injection and will be mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The front of the Mojo features twin headlamps with a bikini fairing while the side profile adorns the company’s trademark twin golden ribs. While the concept at the Auto Expo featured twin exhaust, the latest spy pictures show the motorcycle will get a single end can.
The latest spy shots indicate that Mahindra hasn’t abandoned the project yet and that we might finally be able to see the Mojo on our roads in 2015. We expect the Mojo to be priced very competitively against other naked motorcycles like KTM Duke 390 and the Kawasaki Z250.
