Mahindra seems to be taking its own sweet time in developing the Mojo, as the motorcycle was once again spotted undergoing high altitude testing in Ladakh. As compared to the original concept, the Mojo test mule seemed to be mildly revised to make it more production feasible.

Mahindra hasn’t skimped on premium features for the Mojo and the test mule sported inverted telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock in the rear, with disc brakes providing stopping power for both the wheels. When compared to the concept shown at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, the test mule sported a redesigned front cowl, while the dual-exhausts also seemed to be smaller in size. The front continues to sport twin headlamps with LED DRLs and large air intakes below the sculpted fuel tank.

The instrument cluster on the Mojo will comprise of a large analogue tachometer sharing the space with a digital display. It will be powered by a four-stroke 295cc single-cylinder engine which is expected to churn out 27bhp and 25Nm of torque. The liquid-cooled unit gets electronic fuel injection and will be mated to a six-speed gearbox.

The Mojo had aroused a lot of interest among the biking community when Mahindra first unveiled it at the 2010 Auto Expo, though four years down the line it still hasn’t made it to the production line. While the latest spy pictures do indicate that the company hasn’t abandoned the project yet, the odds of the company launching the motorcycle in this year seem to be very low. The Mojo will compete with the KTM Duke 390, Suzuki Inazuma and the recently launched Kawasaki Z250.
