Mahindra unveiled a production version and a race-spec version of the Mojo at the 2014 Auto Expo. While we have seen the standard version on test several times, here are the pictures of the race-spec version snapped recently.
The race-spec model is mechanically the same bike as the regular variant but gets some cosmetic changes to differentiate it from the standard black version. The new model gets a red, black and white paint scheme. Other features are standard which include a front cowl, raised fuel tank, DRLs, twin headlamp setup and dual exhausts. This new variant might come equipped with ABS.
The Mojo is powered by a 300cc DOHC four-valve engine that is expected to produce 26bhp of power at 8500rpm and 24Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. This motorcycle will be equipped with the Ducati electronic fuel injection system that improves the performance while making sure that the emission levels are kept low. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The Mojo 300 features a gas-charged monoshock at the rear.
The Mojo will be Mahindra's first high capacity engine motorcycle. Mahindra seems to want to make sure that this product of theirs is perfect and so is rigorously testing the motorcycle. The bike might be launched for the Indian market in a couple of months.
