Mahindra Two-wheelers sold 15,845 two-wheelers in April this year. The company had sold 5,367 units in the same month last year. Even though this shows a considerable increase in year-on-year sales numbers, the monthly growth momentum has failed to increase this time.
The sales figures for last month are less in comparison to the two-wheelers sold by Mahindra a couple of months ago. The two-wheeler manufacturer sold 18,553 units this February and 19,591 two wheelers in March. The 15,845 units sold during April 2014 include the domestic sales of 14,896 units and 949 units that were sold overseas.
Viren Popli, Chief of Operations, Mahindra Two Wheelers said, “The Mahindra Centuro continues to drive our growth in the new financial year. We expect to further accelerate our growth with the new campaign, backed by a strong service commitment and network. The Centuro is the best choice for consumers in its segment.”
Mahindra sales have gone up ever since the Centuro motorcycle was launched. The commuter bike is enjoying a good demand in India as it comes with aggressive pricing and new features. In fact, the manufacturer had to increase the production of the two-wheeler to cater to the high requirement. Dealership expansion plans and continuous efforts to improve their service have helped Mahindra Two-wheelers to better their sales as well.
