Mahindra Two Wheelers will display the Peugeot two-wheeler range at the 2016 Auto Expo. These vehicles will be showcased alongside the Mahindra motorcycles and scooters.
It’s been more than a year since Mahindra acquired 51 per cent stake in Peugeot Motorcycles. But in terms of launches, there hasn’t been any development from Mahindra. While this acquisition saw Mahindra gain technological expertise from the French manufacturer, it also inherited a range of scooters, which will strengthen Mahindra’s portfolio.
Peugeot has scooters that fall between the 50cc and 400cc and not all markets get the entire range. It will be the same story in India. Mahindra will first gauge the public response at the 2016 Auto Expo and if there is a good response for some of its products, the company will launch it in India. We’re expecting Mahindra to showcase the Django, Satelis, City Star and the Metropolis at the 2016 Auto Expo.
