Mahindra Two Wheelers is aiming to double its exports over the next one year. Currently, 10 per cent of their total volumes are made up of exports and the company is also planning to explore other new international markets which will help them gain more volumes.
The Pune based two-wheeler maker currently exports its products to Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Kenya and Cuba and is planning to start exports to Columbia, Uganda, Nigeria, Tanzania, Brazil and Nicaragua. Mahindra Two Wheelers might consider to setup manufacturing facility in some these markets if the demand is good and consistent.
"Currently, our exports contribute less than 10 per cent. But with our product portfolio expanding, we expect this to grow to 20 per cent over the next one year," said Viren Popli, executive vice-president, Mahindra Two-Wheelers.
