Following years of endless speculation and spy shots, official details on the Mahindra Mojo are now steadily being revealed online. Mahindra, in fact, has officially unveiled the logo for the highly anticipated 300cc motorcycle.
The Mojo made its debut back in 2010 at the Auto Expo as a prototype model. Since then, Mahindra has taken its own sweet time in thoroughly updating the motorcycle to make it fit for the affordable performance motorcycle segment in India. The company has started taking bookings for the Mojo and also revealed the three colour options: black, white and red and white.
As for the engine and gearbox, the Mojo is powered by a 300cc DOHC four-valve engine that develops around 26bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 24Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. This motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox. In terms of features, the Mojo gets telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock setup at the rear, front and rear disc brakes and Pirelli tyres.
The Mojo will officially go on sale starting next month, with prices ranging between Rs 1.65 lakh and Rs 1.85 lakh. It will compete against other naked motorcycles like the KTM Duke twins and the Benelli TNT 300.
