Mahindra Two Wheelers have announced an 87 per cent increase in sales in June 2014. The company managed to sell 15,463 units last month, including 1,074 units that were sent overseas.

The manufacturer sold 14,389 two-wheelers within the country in June 2014 against 7,849 units sold in the same month in 2013. The growth in the domestic market stands at 83 per cent.

The main reason for the hike in sales numbers is the Mahindra Centuro. The increasing demand for the Centuro has helped propel the sales numbers for Mahindra. The sales of the Mahindra’s flagship model have already crossed 1 lakh units in India.

Viren Popli, Chief of Operations, Mahindra Two Wheelers, said, “We are happy about the sustained growth momentum of our flagship brand, the Centuro. We thank our customers for their continued confidence and will strive to further delight them with exciting new offerings in the coming months”.
