Mahindra Two Wheelers has announced that it has sold 22,404 units in October 2014. The company sold 29,696 units in the corresponding month last year.
The company hasn’t disclosed the sales figures as per their models but has mentioned about their recently launched Gusto scooter doing well in the Indian market. The company has said that it is ramping up its production capacity to meet its demand. However, it is still not clear if Mahindra Two Wheelers have started selling this scooter across the country, as the company had mentioned about the Gusto making its way initially only to Maharashtra and few other north Indian states.
“The response to our new scooter Gusto has been very good and we are ramping up our production capacity to meet the demand. The Centuro range has also seen significant uptake in demand and we expect to increase our market share over the next few months,” said Viren Popli, chief of operations, Mahindra Two Wheelers.
