Mahindra Two Wheelers have announced an overall growth of 152 per cent on selling 19,591 two wheelers in March 2014. Out of these, 18,953 units were sold within India. The manufacturer's annual sales have increased by 92 per cent in 2013-14.
The demand of the Mahindra Centuro has helped increase the company’s sales. In order to cater to the high requirement of the bike, the company had to increase the production of the bike. Currently, it is the only product that is enjoying a good demand for the company in the country.
Viren Popli, Chief of Operations, Mahindra Two Wheeler, said, "In 2014 we have doubled our volume backed by the successful launch of the innovative Mahindra Centuro. We are glad that the Centuro continues to receive an unprecedented consumer demand. We have extended our product range with the introduction of the new Mahindra Centuro N1 that is helping us reach new demographic segments. Our sales & distribution network is also rapidly expanding across the country."
Apart from the demand of the Centuro, Mahindra Two Wheelers have done well in terms of sales also because of their focus on dealership expansion. Today, Mahindra has over 1,000 touch points and is adding two new outlets every day. With the inauguration of new showrooms and service centres across India, the manufacturer has improved its sales and service network.
