Mahindra plans on riding the wave of word of mouth its Mojo trails and tribe is bringing for it. The Indian manufacturer is looking to extend the range of Mojo brand with tourer, adventure, street and cruiser motorcycles. Mahindra has said that these Mojo motorcycles will come at a wider price point, which means, a more affordable one is imminent.
This move from Mahindra will not only put it in almost every segment but also help it create a brand name, along the lines of what Pulsar is to Bajaj. Back in August, we had told you about a lower cost Mojo being in the works. There was also a spy shot of this Mojo variant which revealed how the company was to make a low cost motorcycle. The big difference revealed that the motorcycle used conventional forks in place of the USD one seen on the outgoing model. Mahindra is also expected to cut costs by providing the motorcycle with MRF tyres instead of the expensive Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres seen on the current Mojo.
Mahindra also said that the Mojo range of motorcycles is its main focus at the moment. The company is investing a significant amount of money for the development of these motorcycles. As of now, Mahindra has said that none of these motorcycles are ready, however from the looks of the spy shot we can tell that second Mojo is not too far away. Mahindra has also planned on setting up 20 new dealerships in 10 new cities for the Mojo.
