Mahindra’s new 110cc scooter was spotted testing again in Pune. The two wheeler, in a disguised avatar, seems to be production ready and is similar to the one seen spotted last time.
The test mule is camouflaged and though in a silver metallic paintwork, has exactly the same proportions as the one spied testing last time. The scooter is in good form and the company might be making some final tests before the launch. The vehicle has the headlight mounted on the handle bar and boasts of large and broad mirrors that should provide ample rear visibility to the rider. In comparison to other scooters, the new scooter has a broad footboard and a big grab rail.
Presently, the scooters from Mahindra, like the Duro, Rodeo and Flyte are powered by the 125cc engine. This scooter is expected to be powered by an 110cc engine which will mark Mahindra’s entry into the 110cc segment of scooters. The engine might be a 107cc motor that can produce 8.5bhp of power and 8.5Nm of torque.
This new scooter from Mahindra will rival the Honda Activa, Dio, Aviator, Activa-I, TVS Jupiter and Wego which are leading the sub 110cc segment of scooters. Mahindra might be looking to target the family scooter segment in the Indian market. We can expect the scooter to be launched soon with the much delayed launch of the Mojo 300.
