Mahindra Two Wheeler’s upcoming scooter codenamed ‘301’ has been spied testing on the outskirts of Pune. This is the second time the scooter was spied testing by BikeAdvice.
The scooter was seen sporting many parts from the Rodeo and the Duro. The headlight and the rear view mirrors is a complete lift off from the Duro and the rear of the scooter looks very similar to the Rodeo. The alloy wheels looks exactly the one used in the Rodeo scooter. The rear mud guard and the grab rail look very basic in nature.
It is likely the upcoming scooter will get an 110cc engine, the same engine that powers the Pantero and the Centuro motorcycles. The current Mahindra’s scooter line up consists of the Rodeo, Duro, Flyte and the Kine. The first three scooters are powered by 125cc engines whereas the last one gets 71cc engine. Having an 110cc scooter engine in the portfolio makes complete sense as the company will be able to cater to wider range of audience. Once launched, this scooter will compete with the largest selling scooter, the Activa.
