- Maxxis to supply scooter tyres to Hero MotoCorp
- M6000 range will be seen on Maestro Edge, Destini
Maxxis Tyres has announced its OEM association with Hero MotoCorp. Through this association, the tyre maker will supply scooter tyres to Hero MotoCorp.
As a part of this deal, Maxxis will sell 90/100 M6000 53J front and rear tyres to Gurgaon-based manufacturer. These are tubeless tyres and will be seen on Hero scooters like Maestro Edge, Destini 125 along with the 110cc range – Maestro Edge and Duet. Maxxis claims that the M6000 range provides extra strength and safety to scooters through a specially developed tread pattern that gives out great grip and traction.
The first set of tyres have already been made and supplied to Hero MotoCorp from company’s manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat. The company plans to have at least 15 per cent market share by 2023. The tyre maker will also export tyres to various markets like Africa, Middle East and South Asia.
