- To go up against Harley-Davidson and Indian cruisers
- Launch timeline and pricing not revealed yet
The Chinese-owned Italian brand MBP recently announced its India entry at the 2023 Auto Expo. To be retailed by Adishwar Auto Ride in India, the company has commenced its India innings with two motorcycles and the more premium of them is the C1002V cruiser. The motorcycle will compete against the offerings from brands like Harley-Davidson and Indian Motorcycle.
The MBP C1002V grabbed a lot of eyeballs at the Expo due to its imposing and hefty styling. Typical of cruisers, the motorcycle boasts a profoundly long wheelbase and a low-slung stance. It incorporates a bulbous fuel tank with sharp extensions, a scooped rider’s seat, and a chunky tail section. A majority of visual mass comes from the big V-twin engine, shotgun-style twin exhausts, and extremely wide front and rear tyres.
Complementing its brawny design are modern features including a five-inch TFT dash, cruise control, anti-theft auto shutdown function, a panic button, and switchable engine maps. Powering the MBP C1002V is a 997cc, V-Twin mill with cylinders positioned at 80 degrees and power and torque output of 94bhp and 102Nm, respectively. With upside-down forks and dual disc brakes at the front, the premium hardware package is in line with its displacement and performance.
The pricing and India launch timeline of the MBP C1002V have not been revealed yet and we expect them to be out soon.
