- Hero’s new e-scooter likely to debut on 1st July
- Will be manufactured at its Chittoor plant
- Will be also sold in other countries
Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to launch its first-ever electric scooter. This new EV will be launched under the new EV brand ‘Vida’ and is expected to make its public debut on 1st July 2022.
As of now, there aren’t a lot of details on this EV. The company has managed to be extremely tight-lipped about its name as well, but we can expect this e-scooter to have a styling that will be quite aspirational as its brand’s first mass-production EV. The tech specs and the features lists are expected to be teased as we get closer to the unveiling.
According to a report, this new e-scooter will be manufactured at Hero MotoCorp’s Chittoor factory. While the manufacturing could begin a few weeks after the unveiling, the deliveries are expected to begin later in 2022. It looks like the brand wants to start selling this EV globally simultaneously. It is being reported that this Hero e-scooter will be sold in Europe and also Latin America.
We are quite excited to see this EV in person as we believe the Gurgaon-based manufacturer must have created a good product as it is one of the few companies that are a little late to the party. TVS and Bajaj already have their EVs ready and are being sold in some major cities.
