- India launch expected this year

After a lot of speculations and leaks, Harley-Davidson’s new entry-level motorcycle, the X 350 has finally been unveiled in China. Harley-Davidson X 350 design and features

Visually, the X 350 looks closely inspired by the Sportster XR1200X which has been discontinued in India now. While the circular LED headlamp along with an offset, a single-pod console is reminiscent of the TVS Ronin, there’s a close resemblance with the XR1200 from the fuel tank to the tail. The teardrop-shaped tank gets angular edges and blends neatly with the long and stubby tail section. Overall, the bike looks appealing in the pictures.

While the detailed feature list of the motorcycle isn’t available yet, one can clearly see the bike is equipped with LED lighting all around while the instrument cluster should also be fully-digital.

Harley-Davidson X 350 engine

Powering the Harley-Davidson X 350 is a 353cc, inline twin-cylinder engine with liquid cooling. Considering the bore and stroke sizes of 70.5mm and 45.2mm, respectively, this will be a sporty, high-revving motor. As for the performance numbers, it churns out 36.2bhp and 31Nm of peak torque coming in at 7,000rpm. Transmission duties, meanwhile, are taken care of by a six-speed gearbox. Notably, as per the displacement, power and torque output numbers, QJ Motors already uses this engine in the SRK 350 naked bike.

Harley-Davidson X 350 hardware

The X 350 is equipped with premium components, especially on the suspension front. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels suspended by upside-down forks and a monoshock. While the front forks offer rebound adjustability, the rear spring can be tweaked for preload and rebound. Similarly, braking hardware is also upmarket with a single disc with four-piston calipers at the front and a single rotor with single piston at the rear. Tipping the scales at 180kg, the X 350 comes with 13.5-litre fuel tank.

Harley-Davidson X 350 pricing and India launch

Although the Chine price of the X 350 isn’t mentioned on Harley-Davidson’s official website, one of the online portals is claiming it to be priced at 33,388 Yuan (Rs 3.93 lakh). Now, its India launch isn’t officially confirmed yet but we believe it will land on our shores this year itself with an ex-showroom price tag of under Rs 3.50 lakh.
