A few days ago, we had reported that Piaggio will be launching Moto Guzzi in India. Now the company has started taking bookings for Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V at their newly launched Aprilia showroom in Gurgaon. Priced at Rs 14.5 lakh, this will be the first motorcycle from the Italian motorcycle manufacturer to be sold officially in India.
The Griso 1200 8V is powered by a four-stroke V twin 1151cc engine which produces 110bhp and 108Nm of torque 6,400 rpm. The engine is mated to 6 speed gearbox and the motorcycle has a dry weight of 222 kg. Griso will be brought down to India through CBU.
We are also expecting other motorcycles from the Moto Guzzi portfolio to be launched here in early 2013. As of now, only Aprilia Gurgaon showroom will take bookings for Griso 1200 8V and Pune showroom will continue to take only Aprilia bookings.
With a price of Rs 14.5 lakh, to the Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 and Intruder M1800R as they are both priced in that range.
