MV Agusta has launched a new special edition motorcycle, called the F4 LH44. Built in a limited run of just 44 units, the F4 LH44 has been developed in collaboration with the three-time Formula One champion – Lewis Hamilton.
The F4 LH44 is based upon MV Agusta’s halo superbike – the F4 RC. Developed by the company’s racing division, Reparto Corse, this motorcycle gets the best of what the Italian marque has on offer. The unique red paint scheme ensures that you do not confuse this superbike for any of its other special edition models. The F4 LH44 makes extensive use of carbon fibre and titanium which give it a sporty appeal while cutting down on the weight.
At the heart of the F4 LH44 is the Corsa Corta engine, which in its stock form puts out 202bhp. However, the F4 LH44 gets a performance boost, thanks to the titanium exhaust and a dedicated control unit which boosts the power output to 209bhp. The F4 LH44 is equipped with top-of-the-line fully-adjustable Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes.
This is the second MV Agusta motorcycle to feature Lewis Hamilton’s initials. Last year the company launched a limited-edition Dragster RR LH which sold like hot cakes. We can expect the company to have no trouble in finding 44 customers for the F4 LH44, despite its GBP 53,900 (Rs 47.33 lakhs) price tag. Given the Indian customers’ fondness for the limited edition MV Agusta bikes, we can expect at least one of these to end up on our shores.
