MV Agusta Brutale 1000 Serie Oro pricing revealed in the UK

- Brutale 1000 Serie Oro is the most powerful naked bike from MV Agusta till date

- Powered by the same 998cc inline-four lifted from the F4 superbike

- Receives a 5-inch TFT instrument console

- Gets eight-level traction control with IMU, wheelie control, launch control and up/down quick shifter

Following the unveiling of the Brutale 1000 Serie Oro during the 2018 EICMA, Italian bike manufacturer, MV Agusta, has now announced the prices of the streetfighter in the UK. The highly-anticipated motorcycle was introduced with a sticker price of €42,990 for the European market which translates to Rs 33.64 lakhs in India (excluding duties and taxes). The news has come at the same time as Ducati’s unveiling of the Streetfighter V4 prototype at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb event.

Now, in the case of the MV Agusta, the Brutale 1000 Serie Oro is a Limited Edition motorcycle with production limited to 300 units worldwide. The motorcycle has retained the ‘Brutale’ design but in a more aggressive form. It gets a more sculpted fuel tank with more pronounced tank extensions and air-inlets. Besides that, the motorcycle continues to feature a full-LED headlamp with an LED DRL bezel. At the rear, the motorcycle features a chiselled tail section that compliments the rest of the bike, split-seat, sleek LED tail lamp and quad slash cut exhaust pipes. In addition to that, MV Agusta has also equipped the motorcycle with carbon fibre components for the alloy wheels, clutch covers and other body panels.

Since the Brutale 1000 Serie Oro is the naked version of the flagship F4 superbike, it gets the same 998cc inline-four motor with a revised map and an SC Project exhaust which bumps up the max power to 209bhp and 115Nm of peak torque. MV Agusta claims that the naked streetfighter will be capable of achieving a top speed of 300 kmph.

The bike is suspended by an Ohlins setup at both ends and is accompanied by Brembo braking system with Stylema calipers. On the electronics front, the flagship streetfighter comes equipped with a ride-by-wire system, eight-level traction control with IMU, wheelie control, launch control and ride modes. All these settings can be customised by the rider via the five-inch TFT instrument cluster.

Considering the limited number of production units worldwide, we expect MV Agusta to allot only a few units for India at a hefty price tag. In India, if launched, the Brutale 1000 Serie Oro will face competition from the Norton Dominator and Commando 961 and the Ducati Monster 1200 S.
