-MV Brutale 1000 to be available in RR and RC variants
-Will be based on the limited Brutale Serie Oro
-To be globally showcased at the 2019 EICMA
MV Agusta had announced that a more affordable version of the limited-edition Brutale 1000 Serie Oro is in the works. Leaked documents now reveal that the bike will be called the Brutale 1000RR and will also be offered in an ‘RC’ version.
The bike will be based entirely on the Brutale 1000 Serie Oro and will also borrow its styling from the latter. So a sharp tank with edgy tank extensions and air inlets along with a low-slung full-LED headlamp can be expected. Moreover, the Brutale 1000RR could get a svelte, upswept rear section along with a split seat and LED tail light. While the Serie Oro sports twin exhaust pipes on either side, the Brutale 1000RR might get a sane looking exhaust setup.
According to the leaked documents, the Brutale 1000RR is to be powered by a 1000cc, inline-four-cylinder motor that produces 205bhp and 115Nm of torque. These numbers are the same as the limited-edition model and suggest that the more affordable Brutale 1000RR will not compromise on performance. Furthermore, at 208kg, the bike also weighs the same as the Brutale 1000 Serie Oro despite the fact that it won’t come adorned with carbon-fibre parts.
Apart from the carbon fibre, the Brutale 1000RR will to come with lower-cost components to keep costs in check. It is expected to ride on Marzocchi forks up front and a Sachs monoshock at the rear similar to the Brutale 800. Nevertheless, the higher-spec Brutale 1000RC could use the electronically-adjustable Ohlins suspension setup along with high-performance Brembo callipers.
MV Agusta hasn’t yet confirmed the existence of the two models. However, we can expect the Italian manufacturer to unveil the Brutale 1000RR and Brutale 1000RC at the 2019 EICMA. It could make its way to India sometime later next year.
