Kinetic Group has launched the much awaited MV Agusta Brutale 1090 for the Indian market at an introductory price of Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom Pune).
Kinetic also showcased the Agusta F3 800 at the launch event. With this launch, the Brutale 1090 is the first motorcycle from the Italian company to be sold in India officially.
The Brutale 1090 is powered by a 1078cc heart that churns out 142bhp. The engine is mated to a six-speed cassette style gearbox. MV Agusta claims a top speed of 265kmph for the Brutale 1090. This motorcycle is loaded with electronics like two riding modes, ride-by-wire throttle and an eight-level traction control system. Like the MV Agusta F4, the Brutale gets adjustable Marzocchi USD telescopic hydraulic front forks and a progressive Sachs monoshock in the rear. The brake setup consists of Brembo 320mm double discs at the front and a Nissin single disc in the rear. The Bosch ABS system comes with rear wheel lift-up mitigation system which, as the name suggests, stops the rear tyre from lifting off under hard braking.
Kinetic will sell the Brutale 1090 as a completely-built-up unit for now, till its semi-knocked-down facility is operational. Currently, the company is in the process of setting up showrooms under the brand name ‘Motoroyale’ across major cities in India. The bookings for the MV Agusta Brutale 1090 have begun with a delivery period of two to three weeks.
