Kinetic has launched the MV Agusta motorcycles in India. The Brutale range, which consists of the 1090 and the 1090RR has been priced at Rs 20.1 lakh (ex-showroom Pune) and Rs 24.78 lakh (ex-showroom Pune) respectively.
These launch prices are the updated ones and are almost Rs 70,000 more than the prices the company had announced earlier this year. Both the naked motorcycles will be sold in India as a completely-built-up (CBU) that comes from Italy.
The Brutale 1090 - one of the fastest bikes in India is powered by a 1078cc engine that produces 144bhp at 10,300rpm and peak torque of 112Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and the company claims a top speed of 265kmph for the Brutale 1090. The Brutale 1090RR, on the other hand, is powered by the same engine but has been configured to develop more power at 158bhp and 100Nm of peak torque. Both these Italian motorcycles are loaded with electronics like two riding modes, ride-by-wire throttle and an eight-level traction control system.
Like the MV Agusta F4, the Brutale gets adjustable Marzocchi USD telescopic hydraulic front forks and a progressive Sachs monoshock in the rear. The brake setup consists of Brembo 320mm double discs in the front and a Nissin single disc in the rear. The Bosch ABS system comes with rear wheel lift-up mitigation system which, as the name suggests, stops the rear tyre from lifting off under hard braking.
The bookings for both these bikes are already on and can be done at the company’s new showroom in Pune. Kinetic is currently in the process of appointing more dealers across India, so we’re expecting more showrooms to come up in metro cities in the next couple of months.
