- Based on standard Brutale 800 RR.
- Limited to 144 units worldwide.
- Unlikely to arrive in India.
Italian manufacturer MV Agusta has unveiled the Brutale 800 RR LH44 in collaboration with F1 driver Lewis Hamilton. The special edition bike is limited to 144 units worldwide.
While the bike is based on the standard Brutale 800 RR, it gets unique parts to uphold its exclusivity. It gets carbon fibre, aluminium billet and CNC machined components like the clutch and brake levers, clutch cover guard, and fluid reservoir cap, tank cap, alternator guard and engine oil filler cap. The production number of each bike is labelled on the visor.
However, the most noticeable difference is the paint job. The bike gets the black, red and white colour scheme unique to ‘LH44’ models. The triple-exhaust pipes are now finished in a black coat. The bike gets black graphics along with Lewis Hamilton’s logo and his race number, 44.
Powering the bike is the same 798cc, inline-three cylinder engine that produces 140bhp and 86Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and quickshifter. The Brutale 800 RR LH44 weighs 3kgs lighter than the standard bike at 172kgs.
The MV Agusta- Lewis Hamilton collaboration earlier resulted in the Dragster 800 LH44 and F4 LH44. With the introduction of the Brutale 800 RR LH44, we can expect the F3 and Turismo Veloce to receive a similar treatment soon. While the manufacturer is yet to reveal prices for the bike, it will go into production by June 2018 and be on sale in global markets later this year. However, it is highly unlikely that the bike will make its way to India.
