The MV Agusta Brutale 800 is going to make its India debut tomorrow. Motoroyale dealers have already started accepting bookings for the middleweight streetfighter for a token amount of Rs 4 lakhs.
The Brutale 800 was updated last year to meet Euro 4 emission norms. Apart from updating the powertrain, MV Agusta also gave the Brutale 800 a few cosmetic upgrades, with sharper body lines and repositioned vents. These not only add aggression to the bike’s looks, but also improve the aerodynamics. The tighter emission norms saw a drop in power output of the 798cc inline three-cylinder engine, from 125bhp to 109bhp. However, there has also been a drop in weight thanks to an aluminium sub-frame. The six-speed transmission gains a quick-shifter and a slipper clutch.
The Brutale 800 retails at Rs 15.59 lakhs (ex-showroom). Once a customer pays the booking amount, the motorcycle can take anywhere between 45 to 60 days to get delivered. The Brutale 800 rivals the likes of the Triumph Street Triple 765 and the Kawasaki Z900.
