MV Agusta has rolled out a special edition model of its top money-spinner, the Brutale, christened as the MV Agusta Brutale 800RR America. Although it was unveiled last year, the motorcycle has now made its way in the showrooms in Europe and Asia. Here is a photo gallery of the MV Agusta Brutale 800RR America –
This special edition motorcycle is based on the Brutale 800RR and harks back to the S America 750, a limited edition bike sold in the US in 1973.
Although the bodywork has been carried over from the host, the Brutale 800RR America gets a unique metallic blue livery and a red seat.
The exposed frame, slash-cut three-pipe exhaust system, single-sided swingarm, sculpted fuel tank and the artistic headlamp give it an exotic appeal.
Lest you forget what is special about the bike, the Brutale 800RR America gets ‘America Special Edition’ badges all around and a star-studded motif on the tank.
At the heart of the Brutale 800RR America is a 798cc inline three engine, which delivers 138bhp and 86Nm of torque.
The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and a quickshifter which allows clutchless upshifts and downshifts.
The electronic rider aids on the Brutale 800RR America are limited to an eight-level traction control system and ABS.
The Brutale 800RR America rides on 43mm Marzocchi inverted front forks and a Sachs rear monoshock. Both are adjustable for preload, rebound and compression damping.
The brake setup consists of dual 320mm front discs and a single 220mm rear disc. The callipers have been sourced from Brembo.
