MV Agusta has announced its entry into the e-mobility segment. The Italian brand will launch e-bikes first, followed by e-kick scooters in the international market. The company will offer two e-bikes, namely Amo RR and Amo RC. These e-bikes will be designed and engineered in Italy. With these, the company is targeting the urban dwellers for whom moving around the city on a sports motorcycle is not the most practical option. MV Agusta has yet not revealed the launch date of these products.

The Amo RR electric bike will be available in two paint schemes- yellow and black. Meanwhile, the Amo RC will be offered in three colour options- red, white, and black. These peddle-assisted electric bikes will be powered by a 250Wh Panasonic battery that delivers a range of 75km on a single charge. The Amo range will be propelled by a 250W Mahle electric motor that enables them to hit a top speed of 25kmph. The e-bikes further feature Pirelli tyres, disc brakes, and carbon drive belt. The weight of these Amo e-bikes is kept at 15.5kg.

While the e-bikes will be entirely assembled in-house, the company has partnered with the other manufacturers for the e-kick scooters. Both product series will be made available online through the company's official website as well as through MV Agusta’s traditional sales network. The company will also bring in external partners to boost the launch and distribution of e-bikes.

Furthermore, the company is planning to build an online store from which the customers would be able to order e-products and buy or return parts. While the company has announced e-bikes for the international market, its arrival in India seems quite far-fetched as the Italian manufacturer is yet to find a dealer partner in our country.
