Kinetic has officially launched the MV Agusta F3 800 in India at Rs 16.78 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune). A middleweight supersports motorcycle, the F3 800 is an ideal upgrade for someone moving up from a 600cc motorcycle.
The MV Agusta F3 800 draws inspiration from its bigger litre-class sibling – the F4. Built on ALS steel tubular trellis chassis, the F3 800 gets a single-sided swingarm, diamond-shaped headlamp and the aerodynamic scoops and vents to highlight the F3 800 raw character. Powering the F3 800 is a 798cc inline three-cylinder engine that packs 146bhp and 88Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The MV Agusta F3 800 gets adjustable Marzocchi USD forks at the front and a Sachs monoshock in the rear. The brake setup consists of dual 320mm discs in the front and a single 220mm in the rear. The electronics package consists of ABS with Race Mode, a sophisticated eight-level traction control system and an electronic quick-shifter.
The MV Agusta F3 800 is the most affordable motorcycle in the company’s line-up. The F3 800, for now, is the only motorcycle in MV Agusta’s line-up to be assembled locally as an SKD. It is a direct rival to the Ducati 959 Panigale and the Triumph Daytona 675 R. MV Agusta is also planning to introduce the limited edition track-focused F3 800 RC (Reparto Corse) in the next few months, with a price tag of Rs 19.5 lakh.
