-MV Agusta F3 800 RC priced at Rs 21.99 lakhs (ex-showroom)
-Costs Rs 4 lakh over the standard model
-Gets unique paint scheme and a ‘race kit’
MV Agusta has launched the F3 800 RC in India with a sticker price of Rs 21.99 lakhs. It costs a premium of around Rs 4 lakhs over the standard F3 800 which retails at Rs 17.35 lakhs. (Both prices are ex-showroom)
The F3 800 RC is limited to just 6 units in India. For the unaware, RC stands for Reparto Corse; MV’s racing division, much like Mercedes’ AMG. So its limited availability is justified with cosmetic and mechanical enhancements. The motorcycle’s unique colour scheme has been inspired by MV Agusta’s WSBK bike and is completed with red wheels and the number ‘37’ etched on the belly pan and front fairing. It also gets an Alacantra seat for an extra bit of premium-ness.
And that’s not all; the F3 800 RC also comes with a wooden box. This box, called the ‘Race Kit’ contains a performance exhaust system from SC Project, new aluminium levers, carbon fibre bits, a pillion seat cowl. While the bike’s 798cc, inline-three motor produces 146bhp in stock form, the race kit offers an ECU that bumps up the power to a whopping 153bhp! The F3 800 RC with the race kit weighs 165kg which is a whole 8kg lesser than the standard version.
The electronics package includes ride-by-wire throttle, eight-level traction control, four ride modes and an ABS which offers a Race Mode. Suspension of the front is taken care of by 43mm Marzocchi forks and a Sachs monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, braking hardware is sourced from Brembo for the front and rear.
The MV Agusta F3 800 RC doesn’t get a direct rival but in terms of pricing, it does lock horns with litre-class bikes like the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR, BMW S1000RR, Yamaha YZF-R1 and Suzuki GSX-R1000.
