New renderings and slides of the launch presentation of the MV Agusta RC have been leaked on the internet. The renderings show the motorcycle sporting the company’s trademark single-sided swingarm and a livery inspired by Italy’s national flag.
The new WSBK technical regulations require the use of suspension, brakes, and chassis to be upgraded from the stock production model. The motorcycle has been put on a diet and will have a lot of carbon fibre and magnesium parts to cut down on weight. The changes also include a revised electronics package.
According to reports, the MV Agusta F4 RC will get a 998cc V4 engine which will produce 209bhp and 111Nm of torque. MV Agusta has revised the cylinder head, crankshaft, camshafts and pistons and conrods to save weight. Suspension will be upgraded to Ohlins units and an optional full titanium Termignoni exhaust system will also be offered.
WSB rules cap the price of customer versions of superbikes at EUR 40,000 (Rs 31.05 lakh) and MV Agusta is expected to push the price figure of the F4 RC to this limit for the European market.
