Sales of the exclusive MV Agusta motorcycles have reached the yearly benchmark of close to 9,000 units thanks to strong European and export numbers.
United Kingdom saw the largest sales increase registered[FV1] ; a strong 140 per cent increase. A 54 per cent increment has been achieved in Spain along with an increase of 26 per cent in Germany. Switzerland registered an increase of 14 per cent while domestic sales in Italy remained unaltered compared to 2014 figures. MV Agusta has also shown a growth trend in the Far East with new unit sales increasing 12 per cent. The products that have primarily attributed to the overall success are the Turismo Veloce and Dragster RR which are the best sellers followed only by the Brutale 800, which represents nearly 35 per cent of total sales.
The President and CEO Giovanni Castiglioni has commented: “2015 has been a very important year for MV Agusta. With the launch of the Turismo Veloce, we have created the first touring MV Agusta. A motorcycle that differentiates itself from its competitors by introducing a whole new dimension and experience to traveling. This model has been an important factor in sustaining the increase in sales growth, margin and revenues. 2016 will also see the anticipated debut of the most important model in terms of sales volumes and image; the all new Brutale 800. The press launch will take place in January 2016, 15 years after the original Brutale rolled out, and a total sales of over 30,000 units.”
MV Agusta, is being launched in India by the Kinetic Group through its initiative “Motoroyale”. Kinetic has already finalised its dealerships for top cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore and the homologation process is underway. Kinetic MD, Ajinkya Firodia stated, “It is the right time for launching the MV Agusta in India. The Superbikes market in India has been growing steadily.” MV Augusta should be officially launching the bikes by February 2016.
