Last month, MV Agusta made its foray into the Indian market through a low-key event held in Pune. While the event served as a platform for the launch of the Brutale 1090, MV Agusta has now launched the F3 800 and the F4 in India. While the former has been priced at Rs 15.99 lakh, the litre-class F4 retails at Rs 25.99 lakh (both ex-showroom, Pune).
The MV Agusta F4 is the flagship model of the Italian manufacturer’s range. Its aggressive styling is characterised by diamond-shaped headlamps, aerodynamic lines and quad under seat exhaust system. The CrMo frame houses a 998cc inline four engine, which puts out 192bhp and 111Nm of torque.
The MV Agusta F3 800, on the other hand, is a middleweight supersport motorcycle, which serves as a perfect stepping stone before you enter the litre-class territory. Powering the F3 800 is a 798cc inline three-cylinder engine, which packs an impressive 146bhp and 88Nm of torque. Besides these two, MV Agusta also sells the Brutale 1090 in India, at Rs 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune).
The entire MV Agusta range will be imported to the country through the completely built unit (CBU) route, which explains the premium that these motorcycles demand. Eventually, though, MV Agusta will start locally assembling a few models in the country, which should help them offer a more competitive pricing.
MV Agusta has started accepting bookings for these motorcycles, and deliveries can take anywhere between three to four weeks. The company is still in the process of setting up dealerships in the country and the first ones are expected to be functional by January 2016.
