- MV Agusta built the Dragster RC Shining Gold for a special customer
- It gets Ergal and Carbon Fibre components
- Engine and cycle parts remain unchanged
MV Agusta has officially revealed the Dragster RC Shining Gold one-off special edition model. Releasing the images of the motorcycle on its official website, the brand stated that the Shining Gold was built for a special customer.
As the name suggests, this version of the Dragster sports several gold-finished components which include golden alloy wheels, fuel tank, tank extensions, exhaust cover along with the frame and sub-frame. The Italian bikemaker has beautified the motorcycle intricately which is evident by the gold-stitched seat cover. Subsequently, the Shining Gold edition features Ergal and Carbon Fibre components along with SC Project Reparto Corse exhaust setup, all of which make the motorcycle more premium. Taking the exclusivity a notch higher, MV Agusta has also created an X-lite X-803 Ultra Carbon helmet for the special customer which is adorned with golden livery.
Besides the aforementioned changes, the motorcycle remains the same in terms of specifications and cycle parts. The Dragster 800 is powered by a 798cc, inline three-cylinder motor which churns out 138bhp of power at 12,500rpm and 87Nm of torque at 10,000rpm. Damping duties are carried out by Marzocchi USD forks at the front and Sachs monoshock at the rear. The braking setup includes dual discs up front and a single disc at the rear which is assisted by a Bosch 9 Plus dual-channel ABS and rear wheel lift mitigation. Other gadgetry includes multi-map ride-by-wire throttle, hydraulic slipper clutch and eight-levels of traction control.
While MV Agusta has not launched the Dragster 800 models in India yet, the Italian manufacturer has introduced the Brutale 800 RR which is priced at Rs 18.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). The latter is powered by the same engine with similar specifications and features as the Dragster 800.
