MV Agusta RVS #1 unveiled

This bike is the first product of the RVS program by MV Agusta in collaboration with CRC (Castiglioni Research Center) a division dedicated to special, completely hand assembled bikes. RVS stands for “Reparto Veicoli Speciali” or “Special Vehicles Department” which will roll out special or limited edition MV Agusta motorcycles and thus will be limited to 95 units.

The motorcycle, propelled by an in-line three-cylinder 800cc Euro 4 engine tuned to deliver 148bhp at 12,800 rpm makes it the most powerful bike within the company’s three cylinder range. At 160kg, the bike weighs 8kg lighter than the standard Dragster 800 RR.

Each one also comes with a race kit comprising of a titanium exhaust by SC Project, which although not road legal, claims to boost performance while saving weight. Apart from the exhaust, a quick release fuel filler, race ECU and various carbon and titanium bolt-ons come in a wooden box as part of the race kit.

The steel framework gets aluminium lateral plates.

Numbered titanium plates are mounted within the tank, similar to the MV Agusta F4RC.

The stitched honeycomb pattern seat is something you’d find in exotic supercars.

Front discs by Braking look menacing and complement the customised Kineo spoke wheels.

The unique scrambler-style LED headlight, features a special function where the LEDs come on/go out depending on the speed and tilt of the bike, lighting up the appropriate section of road. Further illuminating the path are LED spotlights which are placed on the right side, mounted on a light carbon fibre support.

The red-eyed skull graphic is visible on various parts of the motorcycle.
