- Both bikes are limited to 300 units
- Were unveiled at the 2018 EICMA show in November
- MV Agusta will introduce more affordable versions of the bikes next year
The MV Agusta Superveloce 800 Serie Oro and the Brutale 1000 Serie Oro limited edition motorcycles have been sold out. Revealed at the 2018 EICMA show in November, only 300 units of both bikes have been announced to hit the production line. The company had started online pre-bookings of the motorcycles a few months back and now, all 300 units have already been claimed. The deliveries of the Brutale 1000 Serie Oro are likely to commence by November 2019 while dispatching of the Superveloce 800 Serie Oro will start from March 2020.
MV Agusta is known to produce exotic machines and the Superveloce 800 and Brutale 1000 Serie Oro are a true epitome of that. At the 2018 EICMA, the former was claimed as the ‘most beautiful bike of the show’ while the latter was accepted as ‘the most desirable and anticipated bike of 2020.’ The styling of the Superveloce 800 harks back to the MV Agusta’s race bikes from 70s and 80s with a retro, fully-faired styling. Meanwhile, the Brutale 1000 is naked streetfighter in the truest sense with an intimidating appeal to it.
Talking about the engines of the motorcycles, the Superveloce is powered by a 798cc, in-line three cylinder mill which does duty on the F3 800 as well. However, for the Superveloce, it has been tuned to deliver punchier mid-range and churns out 145.9bhp and 88Nm. On the other hand, the Brutale 1000 Serie Oro is the world’s most powerful naked bike which belts out a staggering 207bhp of power! Notably, it runs the same motor which does duty on the MV Agusta F4 RC sportsbike.
Being limited edition models, both these bikes were targeted at a special set of customers. However, as we had reported earlier this month, the platform of these editions will spawn more affordable versions of the bikes which will be mass produced. Moreover, the company is also working on more heritage-inspired motorcycles, similar to the Superveloce 800, which will be revealed next year.
