- MV Agusta Superveloce 800 revealed ahead of EICMA
- Sports modern-retro supersport bodystyle
- Is powered by the same engine as the F3 800
MV Agusta has unveiled the production version of the Superveloce 800 ahead of its showcase at the 2019 EICMA.
The Superveloce 800 sports an interesting bodystyle that is a mix of modern and retro motorcycles. It sports a circular LED headlamp housed in a café-racer bubble fairing and a round tail lamp that completes the look. The MV Agusta Superveloce 800 shares most of its underpinnings with the F3 800 that is available in India. While the subframe is new, the tubular trellis frame is the same as the latter.
Underneath the frame is a 798cc, inline-three cylinder engine that produces 145bhp and 88Nm of torque. Suspension duties are taken care of by Marzocchi inverted forks up front and a Sachs monoshock at the rear. Meanwhile, braking duties are done by Brembo M4 calipers. MV Agusta has equipped the motorcycle with a 5-inch TFT Bluetooth-enabled display with eight-level traction control, a two-way quickshifter, and cruise control.
The Superveloce 800 is also available in a higher-spec Serie Oro variant which looks the same as the concept unveiled in 2018 although without the yellow visor and a different headlamp. It sports carbon-fibre and CNC machined parts, spoke wheels, an alacantra seat and a leather strap on the tank as a feather on the hat. Moreover, it also gets a dual-pipes sourced from Arrow and produces 153bhp; almost 6bhp more than the standard version. The bike also sports a red and silver paint scheme that further sets it apart from the latter. While the bike will be available in international markets by the end of this year, we can expect MV Agusta to introduce the Superveloce 800 in India sometime in 2020.
