MV Agusta Superveloce 800 Serie Oro production begins

MV Agusta has finally begun production of the Superveloce 800 Serie Oro, two years after it was showcased at the EICMA. The manufacturer’s factory in Varese, Italy has resumed operation following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in the country.   

The Superveloce 800 Serie Oro which translates to ‘Gold Series’ is limited to just 300 units worldwide. Winning the famous Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’ Este show in the Concept Bike category, the Superveloce 800 has a beautiful design. It draws its old-school styling inspiration from MV Agusta’s race bikes from the 60s and 70s. So it sports a bubble fairing made from carbon-fibre that houses around, full-LED headlamp, and a yellow-tinted windscreen.

While the fuel tank is unmistakably MV, the Superveloce’s circular, jet thruster-like LED tail lamp lends a distinctive appeal to the styling. Moreover, it also gets a red seat, gold-finished swingarm and twin exhausts sourced from SC Project. 

However, the Superveloce 800 is an F3 800 in a Giorgio Armani suit. It borrows the same 798cc, inline-three cylinder engine from the latter which produces 146bhp and 88Nm of torque. In terms of features, it comes with a colour TFT screen, eight levels of traction control, electronic quick shifter as well as rear lift mitigation as standard.  We can expect MV Agusta, which sells its motorcycles in India through Motoroyale, to launch the Superveloce 800 Serie Oro in the country in limited numbers.
