-Has been priced at £24,700 (Rs 21.71 lakhs) in the UK
- Will be limited to 300 units
- To be launched next year
MV Agusta has opened online bookings of its limited edition model, the Superveloce Serie Oro. The motorcycle is slated to be introduced next year and only 300 units will be produced. While this makes it a special motorcycle to own, the high price tag makes it more premium. MV Agusta has announced the pricing of the Superveloce Serie Oro in the UK where it will retail at £24,700, which converts into Rs 21.71 lakhs (excluding duties and taxes).
MV Agusta will bestow this bike with all the bells and whistles which we witnessed on the concept model at the EICMA 2018. If that happens, expected it to get a carbon fibre fairing, yellow tinted windscreen, leather strip on the fuel tank, red seat, gold-finished frame and SC Project triple exhaust. The company will also launch a mass-production model of the motorcycle later which is likely to lose out on these fancy bits. The design of the Superveloce pays tribute to MV Agusta GP race bikes from the 1970s with a retro touch to its design.
The Superveloce is based on the existing MV Agusta F3 800 sportsbike and gets the same engine, brakes and chassis. It is powered by a 798cc, liquid-cooled, triple-cylinder motor which comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. While this engine makes 145.9bhp and 88Nm on the F3, expect the Italian bikemaker to tune it further to deliver more power on the Superveloce.
While the limited edition Superveloce Serie Oro is likely to go on sale in March 2019, expect MV Agusta to showcase the bike at this year’s EICMA show in Milan, Italy.
