- New MV Agusta ADV concept revealed
- To be powered by a 930cc engine
- It is called the Lucky Explorer 9.5
MV Agusta seems to be majorly focusing on the adventure touring genre as it has unveiled two ADV concepts at the ongoing EICMA 2021 show in Milan. The bigger sibling of these motorcycles is a 930cc machine that’s called the MV Agusta Lucky Explorer 9.5.
The design of this prototype isn’t as superfluous as a typical concept and it might be retained on the production model without many changes. There’s an aggressive-looking two-piece LED headlamp with a tall windscreen and a beefy semi-fairing. Speaking of its off-road intentions are spoke wheels shod with knobby tyres and a huge bash plate.
The production model of the Lucky Explorer 9.5 will be powered by a 930.63cc powerplant. This will be a bigger derivative of the brand’s existing 800cc triple-cylinder engine but with certain changes. It will have a larger bore and stroke along with a redesigned clutch, generator, starter, and gearbox.
With a wheelbase of 1,580mm, the Lucky Explorer 9.5 sports a larger 21-inch wheel at the front and an 18-incher at the rear. It is based on steel-tube dual-cradle frame accompanied by an aluminium swing arm. Displaying all the numbers is a large 7-inch TFT screen and the electronics package is likely to be comprehensive.
