Kinetic Motoroyale is going to launch two performance-focussed variants of its entry-level model, the Brutale RR and the Brutale RC, in the second half of 2018. Our sources indicate that the Brutale RR will be launched here around August while the Brutale RC will go on sale in October.
Both the Brutale RR and the RC are based on the standard 800, although they get racy paint schemes to set them apart. The Brutale RR is available in black/white and red/black, while the RC is offered in the factory racing team’s tricolour livery. The ‘37’ decal on the RC represents the number of constructors World titles won by MV Agusta. Under the skin, both the Brutale RR and the RC are powered by the same 798cc inline three engine. However, the engine has been tuned to churn out 138bhp as opposed to the standard bike’s 109bhp. The torque figure has gone up from 83Nm to 87Nm.
Kinetic has always maintained that it will eventually bring in the entire MV Agusta range to India. The Brutale 800, being the most affordable model in the current line-up, has turned out to be cash cow for the company. And although the Brutale 800 in itself is very rare, the two new variants are sure to be even more exclusive. We expect them to be pricier than the standard bike by around Rs 3 lakhs.
