MV Agusta has announced plans to launch three new models this year. While one of these is the MY2017 F3 800, the company officials have refused to divulge details about the other models.
MV Agusta let it slip that all three models are currently undergoing the process of homologation, which is an indication that these are sub-850cc models. As the Turismo Veloce is slated to be launched next year, we can expect any two among these models, Rivale, Dragster and Stradale, to be launched here. We can expect these bikes to be locally assembled from semi knocked down (SKD) kits imported from Italy, like the F3 800 and the Brutale 800. And even though this should help bring down the prices (as compared to a CBU model), these models are sure to demand a premium over their competitors.
MV Agusta launched the Brutale 800 yesterday, which has already received nine bookings. While the F3 800 has been the highest selling motorcycle so far, the company expects this to change with the launch of the Brutale 800. Since being introduced in India in 2016, MV Agusta has sold 100 motorcycles in the country. Of these, 40 motorcycles were sold through the three Motoroyale dealerships, while the remaining 60 motorcycles were sold directly by the factory. Over this year, Kinetic is looking to set up new Motoroyale dealerships in Mumbai, Delhi, Surat, Chennai and Chandigarh.
