MV Agusta has launched its sport touring motorcycle, the Turismo Veloce 800 in India with a price tag of Rs 18.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). But if you are on the lookout for other motorcycles around that price range, there are three motorcycles to choose from. Here’s the list-
MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR
In and around the MV Agusta showroom itself, you will find the Brutale 800 RR which is also priced at Rs 18.99 lakhs. The Brutale 800 RR is a streetfighter motorcycle that sports a muscular fuel tank, oval-shaped headlamp, bikini fairing along with a uniquely-styled tail. It also gets a fully-digital instrument cluster along with four riding modes, eight-level traction control and ABS. Powering the motorcycle is a 798cc, inline three-cylinder engine that produces 140bhp of power and 87Nm of torque.
Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe
Harley-Davidson is synonymous with the word ‘cruiser motorcycle’ and it is exactly what it offers in the price bracket of the MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR. As its name suggests, the Softail Deluxe is part of the company’s Softail range of motorcycles. It sports loads of chrome and spoke wheels with white-walled tyres that give it a classic look. Powering the motorcycle is a Milwaukee Eight 107 V-twin that churns out 144Nm of torque. Harley-Davidson has pegged the bike at Rs 18.75 lakhs.
2019 BMW S1000 RR
If you want a full-faired motorcycle, BMW offers its flagship supersport bike, the S 1000 RR. Currently in its 2019 guise, it gets an aerodynamic full-fairing with twin LED projector headlamps and a sharp rear section. Under its skin is a 999cc, inline-four motor that pumps out 204bhp at 13,500rpm and 113Nm of torque at 11,000rpm. The motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with a two-way quick shifter as standard and is also equipped with BMW’s ShiftCam technology. Moreover, the S1000RR offers rider aids like a six-axis IMU, wheelie control, traction control, adjustable engine braking system, quick shifter, launch control and ABS. The bike will cost you Rs 18.50 lakhs for the standard variant.
