MV Agusta is planning to introduce the Turismo Veloce and the Dragster RR in India in 2018. While the Turismo Veloce is a sports touring motorcycle, the Dragster RR is for someone who wants more character from the Brutale.
Both the Dragster RR and the Turismo Veloce are based on the Brutale 800, however, they belong to different segments. The Turismo Veloce is a high riding sports touring motorcycle, with a semi-fairing and tall windscreen to offer better wind deflection. The tail section has a provision to accommodate hard case panniers. MV Agusta has also tweaked the engine to suit the touring character. The Turismo Veloce will be offered in three variants – standard, Lusso and RC. The Lusso, or ‘luxury’, gets additional features like an integrated GPS, semi-active suspension, heated grips and 60-litre panniers. The RC further adds a sporty livery inspired by the company’s factory racing team.
The Brutale RR on the other hand, is a more exquisite and performance-focussed version of the Brutale 800. The aggressive paint scheme and the spoked Kineo wheels give it a raw appeal. It also gets a larger 200mm rear tyre. The engine has been tuned to deliver 138bhp and 87Nm of torque.
While the Brutale 800 is sold here as an SKD model, it is not clear whether the Dragster RR and the Turismo Veloce will follow the same route. We expect them to be priced around Rs 20 lakhs.
