MV Agusta has released a new video showing us the first glimpse of the new concept developed in conjunction with Italian design house – Zagato. Christened as F4Z, this concept is based on the F4, though it is quite clear from the photos that it shares nothing with the flagship superbike.
It seems like MV Agusta Zagato started with a clean sheet while designing the F4Z. Every aesthetic component looks different from the ones we have seen on MV Agusta motorcycles so far. The bulbous fairing, wheels, tail section and the fuel tank all speak an unheard language. Though the motorcycle is modern in every sense, the design philosophy has a hint of retro flavour to it, courtesy the classic round headlamp, café raceresque riding position and tail section.
Mechanically, the MV Agusta Zagato F4Z has carried over the F4’s cycle parts. The inline four powertrain, Marzocchi shocks and the Brembo brakes hint that the F4Z is a true performer rather than just a show piece. The concept will make its official debut on September 3, and we can expect the rest of the details to be revealed then.
