- New electric scooter spotted on test
- Gets hub-mounted electric motor
- Could belong to Kinetic Green
BikeWale recently spotted an electric scooter on test near Pune. The test mule didn’t carry any brand tag and was fully camouflaged.
From the pictures, it is clear that the spotted test mule looks production-ready as all the cycle parts of the vehicle look quite good. Plus, the EV is also seen with a large and wide production-ready seat. From the test plate, this scooter may be from Kinetic Green. The only other two-wheeler brands that have an R&D in Pune are Bajaj and Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles. But Bajaj runs with the ‘MHE’ test plate for all its prototypes and the latter brand has no intentions of getting into the scooter segment.
The spotted scooter runs 12-inch wheels at both ends, and the presence of a hub-mounted electric motor makes it clear that this EV will be priced quite aggressively. There’s also a large screen but the pictures don’t show if it is running a full-colour TFT screen.
There’s a high that this EV could be a Kinetic but as this brand sells a few Chinese imports in the country, it will be a bit difficult to confirm the same. But if this scooter does belong to Kinetic, then this could become one of their highest-selling scooters as it has great aesthetics and proportions.
