- Powered by a 109.2 cc single-cylinder
- Gets an underbone chassis
- India launch unlikely
Honda has launched the 2023 Wave Alpha in Malaysia. This 110cc scooter has been updated on the mechanical front in its latest iteration and here’s what we know about it.
The 2023 Wave Alpha sports an underbone design. It’s a mix of practicality and sportiness, which a lot of models tend to offer in the South Asian market. It gets a youthful design with a bulb headlight, a single-piece seat, and a single-piece grab rail.
Honda has powered the Wave Alpha with a 109.2 cc single-cylinder motor. It dishes out 8.7bhp and 8.27NM and is mated to a four-speed gearbox. Its hardware comprises telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks while the braking setup consists of a front disc and rear drum setup.
On the feature front, it gets a redesigned instrument console with an analog layout for the speedometer and odometer. It also gets a gear position indicator and other necessary readouts as well. Honda has offered the Wave Alpha a 7.3-litres underseat storage.
The 2023 Honda Wave Alpha retails in Malaysia at RM 5,179 (approximately Rs 97,000 sans taxes). Even though the asking price is fairly low, Honda India won’t bring the Wave Alpha here since there are far more practical products in terms of storage, usage and even mileage.
